About the Dragonfly

Dragonfly, Western AustraliaIn some Native American cultures it is believed that the dragonfly represents the souls of the dead.

In some folklores it is believed if you come across a dragonfly while fishing, it will hover over water on the spot where the fish are plentiful.

Some cultures believe that dragonflies were descendants of the dragon.

Dragonflies were known in England as the "Devil's Darning Needles" as it was believed that if children misbehaved the dragonfly would use its long thin body to sew the children's eyelids shut while they were sleeping.
